Navigation  [full description]
Comprehensive course taught in two parts to prepare boaters with the knowledge needed to safely pilot a boat. Course begins with Basic Navigation (Chapters 1-6) and concludes with Advanced Navigation (Chapters 7-12).

America's Boating Course  [full description]
Oriented toward hunters, anglers, and beginning boaters.  Available in several different formats including self paced home study.

  • More advanced or in-depth courses that extend over several weeks are usually offered during the off-season (October through April)

  • BS&S and Coastal Navigation courses are typically offered from September through April

  • Maryland Boating Basics is typically taught year-round with a large number of classes offered at the beginning of boating season
